The 17 Ryzen processors were leaked over the weekend and now a shipping date for AMD's upcoming chipsets has been revealed via Shanghai Taobao. The Ryzen processors are set to be released on February 28.

The listing shows that the upcoming processors have the same specs as the rumored Ryzen CPU. The date was revealed through the AMD Shanghai distribution channel which allows customers to pre-order the supposed AMD Ryzen for $295. The listing does not show the chip's model number, but it shows that it will have a 4.2 GHz clock speed.

The upcoming Ryzen chip could be the rumored R7 1800X model shown on the leaked AMD Ryzen roadmap which is expected to compete with the Intel i7-6900.

According to the leaked roadmap, AMD will release five Ryzen R7 models with 8 cores and 16 threads clocked at 3.0 GHz and 3.6 GHz. The four variants are the R7 Pro 1800, the R7 1700X, the R7 1700, and the R7 Pro 1700. The lineup will also come with eight R5 midrange and four R3 entry-level units.

AMD Ryzen chips were previously expected to be launched in March 2017. Intel is expected to compete with its rival with the launch of the high-end Kaby Lake-X and Skylake-X processors in four Core i7-7000 chips. These powerful CPUs are set to be released in August 2017, and all four will be powered by the HEDT X299 flagship platform.

AMD Ryzen is prepared to compete with the Intel Kaby Lake, and it comes with remarkably impressive hardware. This is a clear threat to the legacy of Intel's Core architecture. Ryzen is specifically designed for PC gaming while Intel offers several advantages to Kaby Lake including power efficiency and faster performance.

The Ryzen is reportedly a 3.4 GHz+ chip with 8 cores, 4 MB of L2 and 16 MB of L3 cache. It aims to beat Intel's clock speed as it improves by 40 percent per clock cycle compared to AMD's Excavator core. The boost of performance is partly from its 14nm process that fits more transistors on a silicon piece. The new "Simultaneous Multi-Threading" also helps in handling multiple tasks. New technology includes the Neural Net forecast which speeds processing by forecasting instructions and Smart Prefetch which forecasts the data's future location and store in the cache. The AM4 Platform is found on Ryzen including DR4 RAM, PCIe Gen 3, USB 3.1 Gen 2, NVMe, and SATA Express.
