The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets have already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update and it reportedly comes with a lot of exciting features such as the beauty mode which improves the phones' rear cameras.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge feature impressive camera sensors and dual pixel focus systems, both of which sport a 12 MP rear snapper and 5 MP front shooter. While the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge cameras already have features such as food mode, hyperlapse and pro mode.

The new beauty mode allows users to capture photos and portraits with a blemish-free and glossy look. Its front camera already has the beauty mode feature for a while now but the primary did not. Now one can simply follow the steps below to use the beauty mode feature fresh from the Android Nougat update.

How to Use the Beauty Mode

First, the user has to open the camera app and click the rear camera option. Near the shutter button is the skin tone changing option. This is where the user can choose the tone option he prefers. This mode is best used for portraits where the face is clear. It lets the user choose the skin tone both on still and videos alike. It can be adjusted to different levels but options like slimmer face and big eyes are so far currently available in the front camera only.

According to reports, the South Korean tech giant gave the phone app a face lift. Background colors now match the contact photo which gives it a new look and feel. The battery usage indicator was also cleaned up with two additional power saving modes, medium and max, to allow the user to control how much power his Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge uses.

The Android 7.0 Nougat Update Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge also brings a new blue light filter like Apple's Night Shift feature. It warms the display color and can be accessed through the notification bar. The update also lets the user change the flashlight intensity in Quick Settings.

To gain more battery life, users can change the 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD resolution to a lower one and even choose system font size. New toggles in the notification bar are further apart and enhance settings provide a better video viewing experience. The calendar app and Samsung Pass received a makeover as well. The Galaxy S7 Edge now comes with a new maintenance and calendar Edge Panel.

Samsung finally rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners around the world. Owners of Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge phones locked with U.S. networks such as T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T are already excited to know when they will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade as well.

After several false alarms and confusion about build versions, the Android 7.0 Nougat update is on its way to these four major networks. The Galaxy S7 Active was seen running Android 7.0 and this means AT&T customers could expect an update as well.

The Android Nougat will bring new features to devices, fix bugs and issues and improve overall performance. It is said to bring a tweaked UI with instant control toggles and space-efficient notifications. It comes with a quick switch and multi-window for excellent multitasking. There is a quick reply feature and notification bundling for a less cluttered control panel shade.
