Beta Testers Confirm PS4 Update 4.5 Features Boost Mode Which Increases Game Performance; External Drive Support Coming to PS4

PS4 users will be happy to know that a new update is already is available and beta testers are confirming the effectivity of the said update. PS4 update 4.5 includes the Boost Mode which is reportedly improving game performance.

With the release of the 4.5 update, players will have a better gaming experience, enabling any game to run better on the console. According to Game Rant, beta testers have experienced the positive result of the update. The average console will only allow games to run 30 frames per second, with a resolution of 1080p. However, after the upgrading the console to 4.5, the Boost Mode allows for 60 frames per second.

According to Eurogamer, the advantage of the update will allow the console to "run at a higher GPU and CPU clock speed", which is will improve the gameplay. Moreover, load times will also be shorter for some games too.

With the good result obtained from the beta testers, PS4 update 4.5 will certainly be coming to the console. Aside from the update, Sony has also confirmed that an external drive support will be coming to the console, Polygon reports. This is a great advantage for gamers who need more space to install games on the console. Games such as the upcoming "Fallout 4" requires extra 58 GB of hard drive space to run the updated version.
