The Honor 6X smartphone has been introduced in India.

The Honor 6X is the latest handset from Honor, which is a sub-brand of Huawei Honor. The device was launched at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 and has gone on sale in the company's home country China.

The Honor 6X is a successor of the previously launched Honor 5X smartphone. It has a 5.5-inch full high-definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a pixel density of 404 pixels per inch, and 2.5D curved glass.

The Honor 6X comes in two variants: one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in memory and another with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It houses a memory card slot that supports up to a maximum of 128GB on board.

The Honor 6X runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EMUI 4.1 operating system out of the box. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 chipset on board.

The Honor 6X features 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensors at the back that can highlight an object and blur the background. It also has ultra-fast focus abilities in just 0.3 seconds and records up to 1080p full high-definition videos.

The camera app of Honor 6X also features after-capture focus selection. It is equipped with wide aperture mode, food mode, beauty mode, panorama, watermark, ultra snapshot, smile snapshot, timer function, time-lapse mode, professional mode, perfect selfie, makeup mode for the front camera, high-definition resolution, audio note, best photo, audio control, and touch to capture.

The Honor 6X also is equipped with a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera that can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds. It is packed with a 3340 mAh battery that can deliver up to two days of talk time and supports quick charging. In a single charge, it can last up to 11.5 hours, up to seven hours of playing music, and up to eight hours while playing games.

The Honor 6X measures 151 x 76 x 8.2 mm in dimension with a weight of around 162 grams. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 4G VoLTE support. It also houses Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, and micro USB support, as well as an accelerometer, Hall effect sensor, compass, phone status indicator, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

The Honor 6X price starts at $191.27 (around Rs. 12,999) and is available on Amazon exclusively. The 4GB RAM variant of the device is priced at $235.41 (approximately Rs. 15,999).
