BMW is introducing some slight modifications for the 2018 M3 LCI update in line with the subtle facelift of the BMW M4.

The 2018 model of the Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) BMW M3 will get adaptive full-LED headlights. It also gets some updated M emblems on the front seats, chrome trimmings, electroplated detailing, and updated taillights.

It also has some design tweaks from the M4 including an altered front apron and new slats in the kidney grill. The rear bumper also gets a fresh look, thanks to the more angled lower apron treatment coupled with body-colored trim.

Other than these subtle changes, the 2018 BMW M3 will still get pretty much the same feature from the current version. The M3 will continue to run on the same biturbo 3.0-liter, straight-six engine good for 431 horsepower (317 kWh).

BMW's M3 LCI, which is also available in Tanzanite Blue paint from the regular 3 Series range, will offer an optional Competition Package, featuring a 450 hp (331 kW) and 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in merely four seconds when using the seven speed, dual clutch auto transmission. Top speed could reach 250 km/h, but this could be increased to 280 km/h through the M Driver's Package.

It also boasts of a reworked adaptive M suspension, exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels, bigger brakes, an M exhaust system with black chrome tips, tweaked rear differential, and a pair of sporty lightweight seats still wearing the M signature, according to Inauto News. The BMW M3 also has a wide range of interior trims, carbon-fiber inserts, and an updated version of the Navigation system Professional and other ConnectedDrive features.

According to BMW Blog, the new M3 LCI of BMW is expected to hit production in March, with deliveries unlikely to start until the third quarter of this year. BMW Australia is yet to announce local details.
