The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is a rugged, easy-to-use laptop designed for learning.

The Chromebook Spin 11 features an 11.6-inch IPS touchscreen display panel with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass, a first for modern Chromebooks. The Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass is an alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass formulated with an antimicrobial agent to help keep the glass surface clean of stain and odor-causing bacteria. The Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass was produced by incorporating silver ions as the antimicrobial agent into the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This makes the Chromebook Spin 11 an effective and safe tool for learning for children of all ages and even to adults.

The Spin 11 also features 360 degrees hinges which enables the laptop to be rotated all the way around the body, similar to Lenovo's Yoga devices. This enables the Chromebook Spin 11 to be used as either a workbook or a tablet.

The device runs on the Chrome OS and is powered by the Intel Celeron N3450 or N3350, formerly known as Apollo Lake. This makes the Chromebook Spin 11 the first Chromebook to have an Apollo Lake-based chipset. It is paired with either 4GB/8GB LPDDR4 of RAM with 32GB/64GB of onboard eMMC storage. The Spin 11 is equipped with Wacom EMR (Electro-Magnetic Resonance) stylus, which enables users to write and draw directly on the display panel, mimicking the use of a real pen and paper. The device also comes with a Dual Camera setup, another first for Chromebooks.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 only weighs 1.4kg or 3.08lbs and measures about 11.7 inches. Other features include a MicroSD card reader, 2 x USB-C ports (USB 3.1 gen1) and 2 x USB-A 3.0 ports. The Spin 11 offers up to 10 hours of battery life.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is set for release in late Spring along with the ASUS Chromebook C213. No information has been released regarding the price of the device.
