According to GameSpot, Call of Duty teams from around the globe will converge to contend in the Call of Duty World League Dallas Open.  This will take place between March 17-19 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

About 16 teams will take place in a competition in pool play at the CWL Dallas Open.  In the open bracket, there will be a further 160 slots for teams to contend in.  This is one of the biggest Call of Duty open brackets ever.

A $200,000 prize pool will be at stake for competing teams with the top Infinite Warfare players in the CWL tournament.  At the same time, they will also vie for the opportunity to qualify for the first ever CWL Global Pro League LAN event

This CWL Dallas Open is the first step on the path to the 2017 CWL Championship event.  The tournament will include teams from North America, Europe, and APAC.  This will be the first time that APAC teams will have the opportunity to contend in the tournament.

Major League Gaming will handle broadcasts and live streaming.  The tournament is run in partnership with MLG.

The Daily Express reported that on the second day of the tournament, Saturday, March 18, the top four teams from the open winners' bracket will advance to join pool play.  On the final day, Sunday, March 19, the $200,000 prize pool and the CWL Dallas Open Champion title will be at stake when the last remaining teams in the championship bracket will battle it out.

Activision said that the CWL Dallas Open is the last tournament where teams and their players can earn CWL Pro Points for the opportunity to qualify for Stage 1 of the CWL Global Pro League which starts April 20.  Teams that are unable to qualify for the tournament can play in online tournaments through GameBattles or by competing in other LAN events in other regions so that they can have the opportunity to earn Call of Duty World League Pro Points.
