Pimples and other skin problems can now be remedied with a new Samsung product. Samsung's Lumini and S-Skin beauty tech products could contribute to a soft and smooth skin.

Skincare usually involves experimenting with different skin care products that will complement with the skin's sensitivity and needs. However, this usually comes with a consequence as it could cause more pimples and other skin problems.

During the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, Samsung rolled-out its beauty tech products. The first product is called Lumini. It works with an app which analyses the picture of your skin. It identifies pimples, freckles, enlarging pores, redness, and wrinkles. After the Lumini app does the analysis, it will recommend dermatologists or cosmetic products that could help with the skin problem.

Samsung's second beauty product is called S-Skin. It is a device with sensors that measures skin hydration, melanin, and skin redness. It then delivers wavelengths of LED light to the surface of the skin. The device improves skin health by deploying nanotech "microneedles" to penetrate the epidermis. This results in firmness of the skin which prevents premature wrinkling.

The patches in the S-Skin works with near field communications that are used for lifting, firming, whitening, and addresses other skin problems.

The drawback for the technology is that it is too reliant on the analysis present on your phone. Also, with the recent facing Samsung devices such as the exploding Note 7 and faulty washing machines, some consumers have questioned the safety of the company's skin tech products.

There are also privacy concerns over Samsung's beauty devices. Since both products need the face to be captured and sent to a dermatologist (which users don't personally know), it would be disconcerting to think that a person's photo can be used against the person's will.
