The Google Pixel XL and iPhone 7 Plus are two of the best smartphones on the market today.

The sales of the Google Pixel XL does not compare to that of the iPhone 7 Plus. Nonetheless, many users consider Pixel as an Android fan's dream. The XL is equipped with an excellent camera, it enjoys timely updates, and boast of an amazing Android experience. The Pixel XL may have benefitted from the Samsung Note 7 disaster last year, according to Phone Arena.

Users who might be on the fence about which smartphone model to get can check some of the advantages that the Google smartphone might have over Apple's flagship smartphone. Below is a list detailing what the Pixel XL has over the competition.

Price

The Pixel XL starts off at $769 for the 32GB model, while its 128GB version costs $869. The 128GB version of the 7 Plus matches the XL with a price of $869. Additionally, its 256GB model retails for $969.

Camera

The Pixel XL and its smaller sibling both lack an image stabilizing module. However, the device makes up for it through its software. Its top feature is supposedly its HDR+ mode, which keeps exposures balanced.

Weight and Design

Both smartphones come with a 5.5-inch screen, but Google's device sports a higher screen-to-body ratio. Although the Pixel is slightly thicker than the 7 Plus, it clocks in at 168 grams, which is 20 grams lighter than the latter's 188 grams.

3.5mm Audio Jack

Apple ditched the familiar audio port on its latest smartphone model, which obviously makes charging and listening to music through regular headphones impossible. Meanwhile, Google has chosen to keep the audio jack on its smartphone.

Unlimited Online Storage for Multimedia

Pixel users enjoy unlimited online storage for their full-resolution photos and videos. In comparison, Apple's iCloud only allots a 5GB limit with extra cost for more space. Google users on any Android phones can also enjoy the unlimited storage, but with reduced picture resolution.

Better AI Assistant

Google Assistant on the Google Pixel XL apparently outperforms Siri on the iPhone 7 Plus. The AI can also reportedly learn about its user over time. It is also surprisingly conversational compared to Siri.
