Microsoft is expected to make a major design update on the Surface Pro 5. The device is likely to come with a 2K/UHD display with 3860 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a hefty price tag at $2,000, depending on configuration. The upcoming tablet could be launched in March. It could come with the Microsoft Surface all-in-one desktop.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would reportedly come pre-installed with the Windows 10 Redmond 3 version. The device's Kaby Lake processor is said to consist of a 14-nm manufacturing process that provides 40 percent improved performance and cooling technology.

The Surface Pro 5 could come with a Surface Pen and a new dock to charge it. It is also expected to feature USB Type-C ports. The Windows 10 Professional Redstone 2 OS is likely to come with innovative features such as a revamped action center. It will likely feature a bigger battery which will supply about seven hours of battery life. Other rumored specs include 3D support at 60 fps, a USB 3.0 port, microSD slot, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Microsoft could release the Surface Pro 5 with the Surface Phone and Surface Book 2 in February or March of this year.
