Rumors are also doing the rounds that the 2016 MacBook Air will be released in March of this year.

However, according to The Christian Post report, the new MacBook Air may arrive in June 2016. The new device will have Force Touch and Touch ID. Rumors are also doing the rounds that the Cupertino-based company will launch two variants of the MacBook Air 2016 - a 15-inch model and a 13-inch variant.

Earlier reports suggested that the software company would launch the MacBook Pro 2016 as well as MacBook Air 2016 in October 2015. However, Apple postponed the release of the tablets to 2016 for one main reason.

Cupertino-based Apple does not want the new MacBook Air to go head-to-head in the market with its iPad Pro because the MacBook Air 2016 could in fact eat up on the market of the iPad Pro.

According to many reports, the new MacBook Air could be the last device belonging to the Air lineup. Apple appears to have many products competing in the laptop market. That is why the 2016 MacBook Air could be discontinued soon.

Meanwhile, many fans of MacBook Pro are waiting for its release. According to various reports, the 13-inch MacBook Pro will have a Broadwell type of Inter processor and the bigger version will have the Haswell Intel processor.

Some of the features of MacBook Pro 2016 include better battery life, new biometric scan and Touch ID feature within its trackpad.

Speculations are there that the tech company may upgrade the MacBook Pro with the Skylake processor this Q1 2016, and the latest may be for Q2 2016. It is highly unlikely that the company will postpone the coming of new MacBook Pro without Skylake. Reports also suggest that the 2016 MacBook Pro will be solar powered.
