The Coolpad Cool S1 smartphone has been officially unveiled in China.

The Coolpad Cool S1 is the latest smartphone from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad in collaboration with LeEco. It is one of the affordable high-end smartphones under the Cool series with a design similar to the LeEco Le Pro 3 which was launched in October 2016 in the U.S.

The Coolpad Cool S1 lacks the brush metal finish and is equipped Harman's Clari-Fi audio enhancing technology with a custom made AKG N18 Hi-Fi earphones within the package. However, it is not clear whether these earphones have a 3.5 mm audio jack or the USB Type-C port.

When it comes to its specifications, the Coolpad Cool S1 has a 5.5-inch full high-definition In-cell display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch. It is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at a speed of 2.35 GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

The Coolpad Cool S1 comes in two storage variants; one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage as well as another version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory on board. It runs on the LeEco's EUI 5.8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

The Coolpad Cool S1 features a 16-megapixel IMX298 camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.0, 6P lens, and phase detection autofocus. It can also record 4K videos at 30 frames per second and slo-mo high-definition videos at 120 frames per second.

The Coolpad Cool S1 also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for better selfies with an aperture of f/2.2 and 84-degree wide-angle lens. It sports the mirror-finished fingerprint scanner just below the rear camera.

The Coolpad Cool S1 is packed with a 4070 mAh non-removable battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. It offers dual SIM dual standby and supports all Chinese carriers. Other connectivity options are Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, GPS, 4G, Bluetooth v4.2, and USB Type-C port.  

The Coolpad Cool S1 will be sold alongside the LeEco Le Pro 3 (around $290 or 1999 yuan or Rs. 19,500) in China with the same specifications. It is priced at $390 (approximately Rs. 26,400 or 2699 yuan) and comes in black and gold color.
