Samsung's new "pearl black" edition Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone has been released in selected markets.

The black pearl Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge offers a design somewhat similar to the Samsung S7 Edge Olympic Games Edition, but a bit glossier.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's black pearl variant looks similar to the black onyx color variant but features glossy finish body instead of matte finish. It comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to a maximum of 256GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's black pearl variant will be still running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box. Samsung is getting ready to release the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's black pearl variant is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at a speed of 2.15 GHz and coupled with Adreno530 graphics processing unit. It sports 4GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's black pearl variant features a 12-megapixel dual pixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It is packed with a 3700 mAh non-removable battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 for both wired and wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge's black pearl variant is widely known as one of Samsung's most fingerprint-friendly phones.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge can now be purchased in black pearl, black onyx, blue coral, pink gold, gold platinum, white pearl, and silver titanium color.
