The Panasonic Eluga Prim smartphone has been introduced in India.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim is the latest mid-range smartphone from the Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic Corporation. It packs some decent hardware and looks similar to the latest iPhones with a circular home button and rounded corners.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim comes with an all-metal body and a 2.5D glass on the front. It has a brush metal finish on the back. It also has a 5-inch high-definition IPS on-cell display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is protected by Asahi Dragontrail protective glass on top.

Under the hood, the Panasonic Eluga Prim is powered by an unspecified quad-core chipset clocked at a speed of 1.25 GHz. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further extended additionally up to a maximum of 128GB.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with the customized FitHome UI on top. It features a 13-megapixel camera on the back with triple LED flash, 5P lens, and an aperture of f/2.0. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing images and making video calls.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim supports dual SIM dual standby but 4G only one SIM at any given time. Other connectivity options include VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and microUSB 2.0 port. It is packed with a 2500 mAh non-removable battery that might not last more than a day of usage.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim sports a circular home button on the front to support gestures for doing different tasks like opening recent apps, back, and home. It also comes with an embedded fingerprint scanner into the home button.

The Panasonic Eluga Prim is priced at $284.28 (around Rs. 19,290) and is sold through offline stores. It is available in champagne gold with a white display panel and gun metal silver color with a black display panel.
