Pokemon Go gets bigger and more fun this holiday season with the addition of new Pokemon including Pichu, Togepi, Elekid, Magby, Igglybuff, and Christmas Pikachu.

Niantic Labs announced that Pichu and Togepi, both initially presented in Pokemon Gold and Silver, will be hatching from eggs to join the game. The game creators also hinted that the new additions are just "the first of more Pokemon coming... over the next few months." Prior to the announcement, the gameplay has concentrated on first-generation pocket monsters features in the Pokemon Red and Blue Green.

The new baby Pokemon are hatched from eggs collected during events. Third party radars are not available for locating new pocket monsters, and since they are randomly dispersed, there's no use asking other players where they caught the latest additions.

To catch eggs, go to a Pokéstop and take a spin until you get one. Users living in limited Pokéstop areas have to continuously walk in circles and wait for the reset to get an egg. Eggs have to be placed in an incubator and after walking for 2km, 5km and 10km, expect Igglybuff and Cleffa, Pichu and Togepi and Magby as well as Elekid and Smoochum to emerge from their shells, respectively.

Users need to be reminded that hatching is still random, so they need to collect more eggs until a new Pokemon appears. For those who want to hatch multiple eggs minus the benefits of walking, cash purchase of incubators is possible. However, discarding eggs will not be possible until they are hatched.

In November, Ditto joined the craze as a disguising creature that players can catch by accident. Another present to watch out for in line with Pokemon Go's new set of Pokemon is the special appearance of Pikachu wearing Santa hat "in large quantities" between Dec. 12 to Dec. 29. The good news is that evolving the Pikachu with the hat will make Raichu chip in the scene.
