The HTC Desire 650 smartphone is now available at $172.

The HTC Desire 650 was launched along with the HTC Evo 10, the international variant of the Sprint-exclusive HTC Bolt. It comes with lower mid-range specifications along with some interesting design.

The HTC Desire 650 sports a polycarbonate shell with a textured finish on the bottom rear of the device. 

The HTC Desire 650 has a 5-inch high-definition LCD with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box with the latest HTC Sense user interface.

The HTC Desire 650 is powered by an unknown Snapdragon chipset. It is expected to be the Snapdragon 210 SoC clocked at a speed of 1.1 GHz along with Adreno 304 graphics processing unit.

The HTC Desire 650 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in memory that can be further extended technically up to a maximum 2TB via a microSD card slot. It features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with an aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.8 for selfies.

The HTC Desire 650 is packed with a 2200 mAh battery that is rated to give up to 17.5 hours of talk time and last up to 28.5 days on standby mode. It measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.4 mm in dimension with a weight of 140 grams.

The HTC Desire 650 also features front-facing Boomsound stereo speakers. Other connectivity options are 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and micro USB 2.0 port. It costs $172 (around Rs. 11,800 or NT$ 5490) in Taiwan and will be available in the next few weeks.

The HTC Desire 650 is available in black and white color.
