The news first broke out on an XDA forum after one user, using the handle TokyoGuy, shared that after exchanging the recalled Galaxy Note 7 for a Galaxy Note 5 model, the latter started receiving software updates for Grace UX.

In a post, TokyoGuy wrote, "The file download was in excess of 600MB however, and I thought something to be odd given that the September and October patches, even together, couldn't be that large."

The Samsung Grace UX is based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow build. The software brings a lot of new features like Smart Manager, Wide Selfie, Game Tools, and Ultra Power Saving Mode, according to Tech Times. Reviews of the Grace UX reveals that the software offers smoother animations compared to the previous version of TouchWiz.

Samsung has confirmed that it is in the process testing Android 7.0 Nougat for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices. Although Samsung is yet to confirm it, there are rumors that the Android Nougat update will introduce the Grace UX update to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge devices.

There are rumors that the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will be rolled out sometime in the middle of December.
