The Apple iPhone 6 Plus smartphone's touch disease issue will cost $144 (around Rs. 9900) to be repaired.

Apple addressed the issue last week after users complained about problems with the display of the iPhone 6 Plus. This issue has been described as touch disease since the device's display becomes unresponsive with some lines across the top of the screen.

The Touch Disease issue on the iPhone 6 Plus results in a flickering gray bar across the top of the screen. It usually happens after the device has been dropped several times on a hard surface.

Apple is offering to repair the Touch Disease issue. The repair program was first announced in the U.S., and now it has been reported in India. Users in India can now get their iPhone 6 Plus to the Apple store and get it repaired.

However, the repair of the Touch Disease issue on the iPhone 6 Plus is not for free. It will cost $144 (around Rs. 9900).

The iPhone 6 Plus has 5.5-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a pixel density of 401 ppi, and 16M colors. It is powered by the Apple A8 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz and coupled with PowerVR GX6450 GPUS. It runs on the iOS 8 and can be upgradable to the iOS 10.1 out of the box.

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with 1GB of RAM and 16/64/128GB of internal storage. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED dual-tone flash and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. It is packed with a 2915 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery that lasts up to 384 hours of standby mode, up to 24 hours of talk time, and up to 80 hours of music play.
