It is customary for Apple to introduce new technologies with its latest iPhones. The company is allegedly considering using OLED in the next generation of iPhones, but there are concerns that its suppliers would not be able to meet the demand.

Apple reportedly plans to ship at least one new iPhone with an OLED display during its 10^th anniversary debut next year. The company thinks that using OLED would entice more customers to buy the next generation of iPhones. While Apple may have set great plans, Bloomberg reported that four of its main suppliers are concerned because they lack the production capacity to make OLED screens for all of the new iPhones by next year.

Experts agree that this would be a major constraint for the company's plans. Samsung is on track to be the sole supplier for the OLED display of Apple's new iPhones, but the South Korean company has admitted that it may not be able to make enough, considering that the new phones would be high in demand. Other large producers including Japan Display Corp., Sharp Corp., and LG Display Co. have also admitted that OLED screens are much difficult to produce.

But even so, Japan Display Corp. and Sharp Corp. have reportedly started working on test procedures for the OLED screens and said that they are on track for production in the year 2018. However, Fortune reported that users might probably be seeing only one version of the new iPhone because Apple's suppliers would face challenges in their bid to meet demand.

Meanwhile, Apple has not provided ample information about the iPhones new OLED displays and has declined to comment on the matter.
