The Affinity Designer version 1.5 is now available in the Mac App Store and remains exclusive to Mac for use at the moment. The updates include the addition of symbols, constraints, asset management, text styles, and a new color picker as well as great improvements to the styling and export functions.

The symbols feature addition allows designers to have multiple instances of the same object. The constraints feature, on the other hand, allows users to precisely control either the size or position of an object that is relative to its container, making it possible to produce pseudo-responsive fashioned functions of reusable elements.

The Affinity Designer's snapping power is one of its popular features that provide users with customizable grids and snap-to-pixel capabilities, making alignment a cinch. Also, instant live feedback makes it easier for designers to be precise with design details.

The asset management panel is another vital element of this application that gives users a smoother and efficient workflow trademark as it allows designers to simply drag and drop items into the open panel.

Aside from the big changes, Affinity is celebrating the release of its version 1.5 by giving a free Grade UI web-design kit, valued at $58, along with the application. For existing owners of the Affinity Designer, there is no need to pay for anything to upgrade to version 1.5. So enjoy the updates and have fun designing.
