PayPal has added Siri support to its app to let users send and request money through voice command.

The payment company also announced compatible voice commands such as "Hey Siri, send David $40 using PayPal," "Use PayPal to send $25 to Alex for shopping," or "Request $20 from Mom with PayPal." The new feature will make it easier to transact and split bills.

PayPal is looking to make the process of peer-to-peer money transfer more intuitive. The company bought Venmo, another payment app, in 2013. Venmo was the first app to get Siri integration in September this year when Apple opened up Siri API to third parties. However, Venmo does not provide international service.

PayPal and Siri integration is activated in 30 countries including Canada, China, and Russia. It is also available in Belgium with Dutch and French language support, while in Saudi Arabia, the app has Arabic support. The app can also be used with Touch ID for verification purpose.

However, this is not the first time that Siri has been used for payment purpose. The facility is already integrated with payment apps such as Cash, Monzo, and Square. PayPal would require a phone to be unlocked to use the feature, although the app can be accessed from the lock screen.

PayPal is also said to be contemplating integration with iMessage. This will allow users to send money using messages on iPhone.

PayPal reported a 56 percent year-over-year increase in its mobile payment in the third quarter of 2016.
