'Mirror's Edge Catalyst' Update: Pre-order Bonuses Include Combat Runner Kit, Speed Runner Kit, Runner Tag; DICE Confirms Offline Gameplay, A More Mature Faith Connors!

New "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" details revealed several pre-order bonuses for the game, an offline gameplay and a more mature development for Faith Connors.

DICE and Electronic Arts revealed several pre-order bonuses for "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as the online retailing website Amazon posted the game's many unique features such as the "Combat Runner Kit,"Speed Runner Kit", "Runner Tag", "Combat and Speed themed shaders" and "Unique Background", Gameranx reported.

The Combat Runner Kit will allow players to receive new techniques and power when it come to fighting off enemy units, while the Speed Runner Kit will enable them to run fast and run free using a variety of parkour moves when they move around obstacles throughout the City of Glass.

There are also bonus items in "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" pre-order such as the Combat and Speed themed shaders which allows gamers to change they "appear" in other player's worlds. The Runner Tag is simply a leader boards of sorts within the game and the Unique Background allows gamers to customize their Screen Hacks.

DICE announced last year that "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will have a collector's edition for $250 which features a statue of Faith as an adult and as child, an exclusive steel book, lithograph, an ten page concept pieces, temporary arm and logo tattoos and a storage box.

Aside from the pre-order bonuses, "Mirror's Edge" Senior Producer Sarah Jansson tweeted that "Mirror's Edge Catalsyt will feature an offline gameplay option, but encourage gamers that online content is more fun due to its social component.

DICE added that gamers will see a more "mature" version of Faith Connors within "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" as the game's concept artist Per Haagensen explained that Faith's personality and beliefs will be displayed in the game for audiences to relate too, making them more curious of who she really is in the story, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

The second "Mirror's Edge" game will serve as prequel and reboot for Faith Connors as she will discover her destiny and the conspiracy behind the corrupt government in the City of Glass as she fights for freedom not just for herself, but for the people living in oppression.

"Mirror's Edge Catalyst" will be release on May 24 in the United States and May 26 in Europe for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC platform.
