Prior to its release, the system underwent organizational changes including the direct operation of Google Daydream which is Google's center for smartphone virtual reality programs. Tango aims to provide better user experience for applications on augmented reality via mobile devices.

Augmented reality aims to delivery immersive experience through a combination of virtual gaming spaces and physical world. Reviews say that Pokemon Go might present a better gaming experience with 3D mapping enabled by Google's Tango system.

Approximately 35 applications are currently supported by the system such as Crayola Color Blaster, iStaging, and Matterport. The applications released on the pioneering augmented reality package could have a below-optimal performance but are expected to offer greater technology in the future.

The much-awaited system is only available on Lenovo Phab2 Pro, which would be sold for $499. However, it is expected to arrive on other Android devices in 2017. The smartphone was unveiled in the US market in November.

The Google Tango smartphone system is built with algorithms that will work well with high-technology gadgets and hardware. A Daydream headset was also announced during the hardware event.
