OnePlus gained traction because of its powerful and reliable OnePlus 3 and fans are now excited about the OnePlus 4. There are rumors that the OnePlus 4 will boast of a Snapdragon 830 processor, which is an upgrade from the OnePlus 3's Snapdragon 820.

The upcoming smartphone is also expected to have 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of external storage through a microSD card as opposed to the OnePlus 3 which comes with only 6 GB of RAM.

According to HNGN, the OnePlus 4 might feature a 5.5-inch screen with a possibly curved and 4K display. OnePlus explained that it would not offer a smaller handset because it wants bigger batteries ranging only from 3,500 mAh to 4,000 mAh on its devices. The OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen as well with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 401 ppi pixel density.

The OnePlus 4 is expected to come with a 21 megapixels rear camera, instead of the previously rumored 23 megapixels, but it remains a significant upgrade from the OnePlus 3's 16 megapixels rear camera. The company is also expected to add more elements to the Android 7.0 Nougat OS on the OnePlus 4 for a better user experience. The OnePlus 3, on the other hand, operates on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Oxygen OS.

The OnePlus 4 is expected to come with an aluminum body in sandstone color. Other rumors claim that the company may also release the OnePlus 3 Plus, a bigger OnePlus 3 which has a Snapdragon 821 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. The price of the device is still unknown right now but based on OnePlus' previous launches, the OnePlus 4 may cost $400 USD. Both devices could be released in April or May 2017.
