    iPhone 7 won’t include Smart Connector port introduced on iPad Pro: Report

    Apple's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were rumored to include a Smart Connector, but the Japanese website Mac Otakara has suggested the port will not be included in the next series of iPhones. Smart Connector first appeared on the iPad Pro and transfers data/power between a device and accessories such as the Smart Keyboard. It was believed the Lightning port would be used on Apple smartphones for functions such as wireless charging or battery cases.

    IBM and Bausch & Lomb are partnering for an Apple iOS app that will provide helpful data to eye doctors for cataract surgeries. The goal of the mobile app will be to make the workflow more efficient by collecting and processing patients' data before, during, and after the eye surgery. On May 5, Thursday, the tech and eye-care companies announced the new app for iPhones and iPads.
