Xbox One
HBO Now app has rolled out for Xbox One and Xbox 360 gaming systems just in time for the season premiere of Game of Thrones. It allows non-cable subscribes to use their consoles to stream the company's large collection of movies and TV series. HBO Now was launched a year ago and is available for platforms including Apple TV and other iOS devices, Android, Roku, and desktop browsers.

However, Xbox One will be the first gaming console launched for HBO Now. It is not available for PlayStation 4 yet.
Both consoles already have access to HBO Go, so subscribers have had easy access for a long time, according to The Verge. HBO Now costs about $15 per month.
HBO Now subscribers just have to download the mobile app on the Xbox One or Xbox 360 console. Then they must authenticate their account. Meanwhile, new users can visit HBO's website to sign up for a 1-month free trial
HBO has announced the season premiere of "Game of Thrones" will be free for all Xbox users from April 25 to 28, according to IGN. That is one day after the popular TV series premieres on April 24, Sunday.
The company's library of TV shows includes classic series such as "The Wire" and "The Sopranos," as well as current series including "Veep" and "Silicon Valley."
In related news, Microsoft has announced it will stop production runs of its Xbox 360 console over a decade after launch, according to BBC. Xbox head Phil Spencer reports that gamers have completed over 78 billion hours of play on the gaming systems. Last year the company allowed Xbox 360 games to run on the Xbox One console.
Spencer reported that the remaining units of Xbox 360 consoles will be sold, while Microsoft will continue to provide support for current users.
The Xbox boss said he was proud of the development of Xbox 360 hardware, games, and services. He also thanked Xbox 360 fans for their support. However, Spencer also admitted the decade-old product has caused some manufacturing issues.
Xbox 360 was available on the retail market in November 2005. That was four years after the release of the original Xbox console.
