The "Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter" manga will be based on Capcom's hit game property, according to editor Michael Montesa in a press release. He stated that longtime fans of the franchise will not want to miss out on the action-packed new fantasy series that will offer an entire new way of enjoying the famous storyline and characters.
While the game follows a player-created character, a press release revealed that the manga will tell the story of a set of old characters. It will also feature how they got to be as good as they are. Fans have taken to social media to point out how smart it is to bring these games to comics and how interesting it will be to see where the story goes, Broadway World reported.
According to the official synopsis for the manga, the story will be set in an age when monsters rule the world. Beasts will soar through the sky, tread the earth and fill the seas. Humanity will survive on the fringes. They will have to rely on a new breed of hero to defend the people from danger.
The "Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter" series will explore how hunting towering man-eating beasts can be done even by the weak-hearted through courage, skill and experience. It will re-introduce Raiga and his comrades who will already be experts. They will have acquired qualities that lacked when they started down the path. They will now head off to confront the dragon Queropeco, My Gamer reported.
"Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter" is expected to ignite resurgence in the west following the release of previous successful games and the recent announcement of newer titles that are still in the works.
