Lenovo is reportedly working on a Moto Z successor. Earlier rumors suggested that it will be named as the Moto z (2017) but that is not anymore the case. A new report has been found that Evan Blass displays that it's going to be the Moto Z2 instead of the other one.

Evan Blass posted a tweet that said "So, like, this is happening." Along with a tweet is a photo that said Moto Z2. Cleary, the tweet indicates that a Moto Z2 will be happening soon. He also revealed that the Moto Z2 will be having Moto Mods support just like the Moto Z.

This is not the first-time rumors have spread about the Moto Z2. Speculations and image renders have been spreading lately for quite some time now.

The specifications of the upcoming Moto Z2 is said to have 4GB of RAM and will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. It is also reported to come with an iris scanner for faster and easy biometric authentication.

Furthermore, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdraogn 835 SoC. However, that is not the case since the recent release of smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Xiaomi Mi 6, and more will also be powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor. As a result, a shortage of stock will occur for the processor which makes the Moto Z2 to unlikely have the latest processor by Qualcomm, according to a report by India Today.

It is remembered that the its predecessor was launched around June of last year. Meaning, if Lenovo will follow this procedure, the Moto Z2, if reports are correct, it will also be launched around June of this year. As of now, that is all the information about the Moto Z2 that reports are suggesting.
