Blue Origin Teases Images of Space Tourism Capsule/ YouTube

Blue Origin the private spaceflight company owned by Amazon's boss Jeff Bezos, recently opened to the public a view of the New Shepard Space Tourism Capsule. This space vehicle will ferry those tourists who are willing to pay for their space trips. Of course, the cool ride will have a high-priced ticket that passengers will have to pay like USD 100,000 to 200,000 for just a 10-minute voyage into space.

The billionaire-owner of Blue Origin revealed that the New Shepard Space Tourism Capsule will have its first human space flight by the end of 2017 or early 2018. This target date is on schedule as such this early, Blue Origin unveiled to the public the space tourism capsule's interior. It showed the sleek back seats, the windows along with other features.

Meanwhile, in a similar report, Jeff Bezos' New Shephard tourism capsule will have an all-window sleek recumbent leather seats with roomy viewing space intended for six people. The window, which is said to be the largest ever in space measures one-third of the capsule's total surface. Almost three times bigger than the Boeing 747, a window has a dimension of 108.5 cm height and 72.6 cm wide. Not only that, because the window's side has a viewing screen that features the information of the flight and the capsule's outlook.


The capsule is now sitting on top of the reusable New Shephard booster rocket. Bezos assured the interested tourists that the space vehicle is being designed and made according to standard precision engineering, safety and comfort.

Enthusiastically, the Amazon boss as well as owner of Blue Origin, highlighted the safety features of the capsule. The capsule's centerpiece, which serves as the passengers' control console is in itself the escape motor that will eject the crew capsule off from the booster rocket in case of an emergency.
