Rumors are making the rounds that the OnePlus 5 will run on Android 7.0 N operating system. In addition, it is expected to have a combination of aluminum and glass body. The upcoming smartphone will reportedly use USB Type-C for connectivity.

The new phone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, AndroidPIT reported. It will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. According to several reports, the OnePlus 5 smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED screen providing owners with a clearer video output.

It is said that the screen will have a 4K resolution that will back HD videos. Also, 3D streaming videos will be available through the newest 3D technology integrated on the smartphone. The OnePlus device will be available in two variants.

The first variant comes with 128GB internal storage that users can expand to 256 GB. It is said that the second one will have a 64GB of internal storage. Several reports also claim that the smartphone will have a 16 megapixel front camera and a 23 megapixel rear camera.

It will be released in the third quarter of 2017. It is likely that the smartphone will get a second or third quarter launch, taking into account the company's earlier product launches. 

On the other hand, iPhone 8 will be launched pre-installed with the iOS 11 software. The device is expected to have 256 GB and 64 GB of internal storage with 3GB of RAM, according to CNET.

According to reports, the Apple smartphone will be a ceramic or a glass device. The phone will reportedly have a 3D front camera that will replace the Touch ID.
