In a statement featured on the Attack of the Fanboy webpage, Nintendo said "Our thinking in arranging the 2017 software lineup is that it is important to continue to provide new titles regularly without long gaps. This encourages consumers to continue actively playing the system, maintains buzz, and spurs continued sales momentum for Nintendo Switch."
Currently, the Nintendo Switch has over 100 games under development and is seen to make a statement once the long gap of games is contained and the regular arrival of new titles is implemented. For now, Ninetend released some of the confirmed games for the Switch and it include "Mario Kart DeLuxe," "Splatoon 2," "Snipper Clips," "FIFA," "The Elder Scrolls V: SKYRIM" and many more.
Meanwhile, some of the games confirmed to arrive this March alongside the launching of the Nintendo Switch include "1-2-Switch," "Just Dance 2017," "Super Bomberman R" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."
According to Nintendo, the number of games prepared for the Switch is quite massive, but revealed, they needed it in order to compensate for the hit and miss games of the platform. To prove that Nintendo is serious about their Nintendo Switch campaign, the company debuted their Super Bowl LI ad featuring the game "Zelda: Breath of the Wild." This new campaign also prodded the company to take into consideration the Nintendo Switch production in preparation of the massive demand during launching.
