Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, the world's first Tango smartphone, has finally been released.
The pioneering product of Google's Tango team carries a camera and sensor capable of tracking motion, perceiving depth, and learning area. These features are included to meet the requirements of augmented reality (AR) applications such as search, indoor navigation, and gaming.

The phablet has four cameras; an 8-megapixel front camera, a 16 megapixel rear RGB camera, motion tracking camera and another infrared camera that can sense depth. The device, which powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, also sports a 6.4-inch QHD IPS display. It has 4GB of RAM and a 4050mAh battery capable of sustaining 15 hours of usage.
Its speakers support Dolby Atmos audio technology and Dolby Audio 5.1 Capture technology for 3D sound recording.
Up to 25 applications will be available at the Tango's application store. Lenovo added that the store is expected to feature a total of 100 apps by the end of the year. Some of the apps ready for download include Homestyler Interior Design, Towers for Tango, Crayola Color Blaster, Domino World, and Slingshot Island.
The sale and market release of the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro was originally set for August and September respectively. However, it was postponed to October and finally arrived in stores this month.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is only available through the official website of the company for $499. Information about its release in other markets is not yet available. However, based on an earlier report, the device will also be released in Asia Pacific markets including Indonesia, India, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Cambodia.
