Melania Trump has spoken up against social media negativity saying that she would focus on dealing with the issue as the first lady of the US if her husband, Republican presidential candidate Donal Trump, wins the upcoming elections.

Melania spoke about the rise of online bullying during an exclusive interview with Anderson Cooper. This comes after a recent leak of a recording of her husband making disrespectful comments about women. Several women have also come out claiming that Trump harrassed them.

Melania is well aware that her husband frequently uses social media to bash his opponents. Recently, Trump unleashed an attack on Hilary Clinton and House Speaker Paul Ryan via Twitter. He alleged that they were involved with the biased media in a conspiracy against him.

Trump's actions have consequences, and Melania is aware of them. She told Cooper during the interview that she was concerned about how the damaging effects of social media could impact children. This concern was raised after she thought about her 10-year old son, Barron.

Melania is afraid that Barron would soon face bullies on social media due to his father. "We need to guide them [children in general] and teach them about social media because I see a lot of negativity on it and we need to help them," she said.

While Melania is aware of her husband's negativity on social media, she defended him against the accusations that he made vulgar comments and harrassed women. She noted that a lot of the lewd accusations against her Trump were being fabricated by the media.
