The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi Note were released back in 2015. Since both phones come under the phablet section, a comparison between Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Xiaomi Mi Note is inevitable to find out which one outperforms the other.

The Sony Xperia C5 stands tall with 164x77mm dimension and weighs a hefty 187 grams, while the Xiaomi Mi Note measures only 155x77mm and weighs around 161 grams. Both devices has similar design with aluminum frame and glass back, but in Xiaomi Mi Note, the rear camera is placed on the upper left side whereas the camera in the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is in the central top side.

The Xiaomi Mi Note features a 5.7 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 at 386 ppi, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Xperia C5 Ultra, on the other hand, has a bigger display with a 6 inch screen but has the same resolution as that of the Xiaomi Mi Note. The pixel density of the Xperia C5 Ultra is less than the Mi Note which is at 367 ppi.

The Xiaomi Mi Note runs on the Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset, which is a quad-core Krait 400 processor. It has an Adreno 320 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The Xperia C5 Ultra, meanwhile, is powered by a more powerful Mediatek MT6752 chipset, which is an octa-core Cortex A53 processor. It also has a Mali-T760MP2 GPU and is equipped with 2GB of RAM.

The Xperia C5 Ultra holds a 13MP primary camera with autofocus, face-detection, panorama, HDR and a selfie camera of same 13MP, while the Xiaomi Mi Note also has a 13MP primary camera with all the above fancy features but the selfie camera is a little bit of disappointment as it is only a 4MP shooter. The Xiaomi Mi Note has a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh, while the Xperia C5 Ultra sports a non- removable 2930 mAh battery capacity.

Which one to pick?? The choice is obvious as Mi Note outperforms C5 Ultra in terms of performance, though, Sony always has stood firm with the media front. The ultimate verdict would be better judged with the feel that both these devices give on your perspective.
