Mother's Day has just ended but the fever of showing gratitude to the mothers all across the globe is fueled by Facebook's move to help the working mothers. Even Facebook Inc. Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg sent out a call that could benefit the working moms.

Facebook Sheryl Sandberg made an appeal for federal and corporate policies to benefit working parents, including a minimum wage increase, mandated paid parental leave and affordable childcare. Sandberg, an influential voice in corporate America and author of the successful 2013 book "Lean In," said the U.S. government and employers must do more to help parents, especially single mothers, who are struggling to provide for their children while assuring their safety and well-being, as stated by Yahoo.

One of the most important actions the government could take is to help millions of families living near the poverty line by raising the federal minimum wage, and more than 40 percent of American mothers are the primary breadwinners for their families, she said, and many of them are the only breadwinner, reports the same post.

On a different note, Facebook has added new ways of celebrating Mother's Day with the aid of cards, messages and other emoticons. For one, the user can send a Personalized Card and the user might see a message from Facebook in the News Feed wishing you a Happy Mother's Day and inviting you to share a card with a mom or loved one. You can personalize some of the cards by adding a photo, giving you the opportunity to share what Mother's Day means to you.
