UK based online retailing stores recently announced that they would be stopping pre-orders for Nokia phones. Instead of pre-orders, a pre-registration has been implemented for eager customers.

Pre-orders guarantee a reservation for a customer once a mobile device has arrived, and after they have paid a specified amount. On the other hand, pre-registration simply means a customer is notified via e-mail about the pre-order schedule.

HMD Global, which holds the license for the Nokia brand, has reportedly asked Clove UK to stop the pre-orders for the said devices. HMD noted that the retailer store advertised the pre-orders ahead of schedule.

Meanwhile, Clove indicated that there was high demand for the Nokia smartphones. The retailer also added that the pre-order option could be back soon, according to Phone Arena.

Although the pre-orders have been stopped, the report of a high volume of orders for the Nokia 3310, Nokia 3, and Nokia 5 suggests that growing influence of the Finnish brand. After its successful comeback in Asia, HMD Global is hoping to repeat its success in the West.

The new Nokia 3310 is expected to be released in the UK market by next month along with the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, according to GSM Arena.

Based on Clove's listing, the Nokia 3310 will be launched sometime in June. The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are scheduled for a June 30 debut. And as of this writing, the retail stored has confirmed no changes to the listings despite the momentary cancellation of pre-orders.

Nokia fans in the UK would just have to wait for the release date of the devices. However, another option is to order them from Asian online stores online.
