A conspiracy theorist on YouTube claims that a giant asteroid would hit Earth in June. The YouTuber alleges that authorities are aware of the upcoming event and have chosen to remain silent.

The giant space rock will allegedly hit our planet starting series of catastrophic events, including global tsunami and magnitude 12 killer earthquake.

The narrator of the video clip suggests that NASA is aware of the impending devastation.

"I have some Urgent news for you all today, I have just discovered on Nasa's Website that a large asteroid named 3BC2017 is going to smash right into Earth causing a huge tsunami wave across the Atlantic Sea killing millions of citizens around the world. This is not hoax or a scare prank, it is a true real event that is going to happen very soon in June," Express quoted the YouTube.

NASA quickly came forward to deny the claim of the video. Moreover, the space agency said there is no asteroid named 3BC201.

Although the space agency has debunked the claim, NASA has been formulating methods to avoid such a scenario. The agency has been on a mission to develop asteroid avoidance technology, according to Space.

Many ideas have been submitted to NASA and other related agencies concerning the matter. Some of them include using tons of explosive materials to pulverize the space rock or using a booster to move the giant rock away from Earth's orbit.
