There are reports that an upcoming update will introduce a shiny Pokemon to "Pokemon Go," which will be difficult to capture.

The update will reportedly come in the form of an event. "Pokemon Go" players have observed a fluctuation of Pokemon IVs (individual values) and movesets.

It means that the same creature will have different stats based on the player's level. According to Pokemon GO Hub, the mechanics of wild creature encounters have changed greatly. Gamers have reported that wild creatures no longer have the same core stats for each gamer that encounters them.

At present, the following stats are unique per gamer and determined for that gamer (based on their level) on entering the encounter.

Something similar occurred when Niantic Labs introduced shiny creatures for the first time. Magikarp was the only creature that was given the shiny treatment. However, it was impossible to predict its location or average spawn rate as it was during a special Water Festival.

Furthermore, the changes make it difficult for spoofers to fake their place and get rewards.

John Hanke, chief executive of the development studio, said that the Legendary Pokemon would come to "Pokemon Go" before the end of this year. At present, the legendary creatures that are yet to be released for "Pokemon Go" are Mewtwo, Mew, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno, Metro reported.

There had been speculations that these legendary creatures will be disclosed at special events to mark the first anniversary of Pokemon Go.

Meanwhile, Google Play is launching Pokemon Go-themed gift cards. These cards will likely be available only in Japan. The gift cards have two variations - a card that can be loaded with anywhere between 1,500 - 50,000 yen and a fixed 5,000 yen card.

The gift cards are perfect for buying items in the game; however, users can use the balance for any Google Play purchase on an Android smartphone.
