Thurrott likened the upcoming convertible tablet to a "Surface Pro 4.5" of sorts. He further claims that the Surface Pro 5 may not use USB-C for charging as most 2-in-1 nowadays.

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to come with a 12.3-inch screen, 4K UltraHD display, 512GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and a revamped Surface Pen stylus with new wireless charging feature. Microsoft is likely to reveal the Surface Pro 5 alongside other Surface-branded lineups at Microsoft's Build developer conference between May 10 and 12. Lastly, Microsoft Surface pricing is expected to start around $899. A faster processor with bigger hard drive could push the price above $2,000.
