Square Enix has revealed some new details on “Final Fantasy XV” and its release date during the Active Time Report (ATR) event.

The Japanese video game developer confirmed details of the previously-announced March event that will finally reveal Final Fantasy XV’s long-awaited release date. Called “Final Fantasy” Uncovered, the event will take place in Los Angeles on March 30 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time and will include important announcements and surprises for the fans, PlayStation Lifestyle reported.

The live event will take place at the Shrine Auditorium and will be open to the public. The fans will be able to RSVP on the official “Final Fantasy” Uncovered site starting on Friday, Feb. 5 at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The event will also be streamed live on Square Enix’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

“Final Fantasy XV” Director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji recently returned for the first Active Time Report of 2016, revealing a new character and gameplay footage.

They have introduced a new playable character named Aranea Highwind. Highwind is the commander of Niflheim’s Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division. She was described as a skilled aerial combatant or known as ‘Dragoon’ within the Imperial military, according to IGN

Square Enix has also released the second and final progress report video showing the progress of development of certain sections in the game. The footage shows the team infiltrating an imperial base at Niflheim. Infiltrating bases is something that players can do and a way they can enjoy the game that is different from the main story.

The Niflheim Empire is the opposing force in "Final Fantasy XV." It has an incredible number of military troops at its disposal. The empire has already conquered and occupied a vast majority of the world at the start of the story. The Kingdom of Lucis still maintains its independence, and is the last bastion against Niflheim.

Game’s camera has been improved and it is being automated as much as possible so that players would not need to control it manually. The swirling weapons selection is also back, conjuring of weapons before choosing one. This feature had always planned to be incorporated into the game.

The user interface has drastic changes than before. The team is in the middle of final UI adjustments, so it may change some more. The four weapons are now incorporated to the directional buttons, so players can instantly switch between weapons.

The fourth combo has also been revealed. The first three combos were auto combos, parrying combos, and combos triggered by allies. Players can enjoy more commands as their allies level up. When a player uses a particular command, the camera switches to the ally performing the command, then back to Noctis. It is a command to an ally that players can use at their own discretion.

More details are set to be announced at the event, and another demo may be released by that time.
