Xiaomi Mi Max 2 leaked photo has surfaced which suggests that the phablet may get unveiled on April 19.

Xiaomi is slated to announce the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus smartphones on April 19. Recent rumors have revealed that the Mi Max 2 phablet will also get announced on the same day. However, there are no concrete evidence to show the launch of Mi Max 2 on April 19. Other sources suggest that since the original Mi Max was unveiled in May last year, the Mi Max 2 may get announced in the next month, Playful Droid reported.

The Mi Max 2 leaked photo that has surfaced now has revealed the back panel as well as the top and bottom sides of the Mi Max 2. The rear panel has a LED flash enabled rear camera with a noticeable bulge at the top-left corner.  A fingerprint scanner can be seen positioned just above the center of the phone. Towards the bottom, the Mi logo can be seen.

The topside of the phone is flanked with a 3.5mm audio jack and an IR blaster. The bottom side of the phone has a USB Type-C port placed between two external speaker grilles. The original Mi Max phablet has a microUSB port, Android Pure reported.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 phablet is expected to continue to feature a 6.4-inch full HD screen like the predecessor model. The Snapdragon 626 SoC is expected to power the phablet. Rumors have it that there could be higher-end model that would be coming with Snapdragon 660 chipset. However, the Snapdragon 660 SoC has not been officially announced by Qualcomm.

The Mi Max 2 would be coming with a 4 GB of RAM and the rumored high-end variant may feature 6 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the phone is predicted as 128 GB.  The phablet will be preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and it will be loaded with a 5,000 mAh battery. The standard variant of the phone may cost around $217 whereas its higher variant may be priced around $246.
