It's not only found on science - fiction films like the famous "Back to the Future II" but it's real when Franky Zapata hovered over the Atlantic Ocean. He flew to a height of 164 feet or 50 meters in an estimated 7 minutes of flying time. Zapata used a jet - powered Hoverboard in the promotional video that is made for Breitling, a Swiss watchmaker company.
In a report by Livescience, Breitling is jointly working with Flyboard Air as they launched a project in fostering aviation and invention. This partnership is dubbed as a "new chapter in conquering the skies". It can be recalled that the concept of the flying skateboard took the center stage back in the 1989 movie classic that displayed numerous hoverboard prototypes.
Zapata's real-life stunt above the ground is not the first of its kind in the history of daring human flights. In a similar report by Telegiz, another sci-fi inspired jet powered exosuit brings the British oil trader and inventor Richard Browning up on air with his invention. Browning resembled the sci-fi action super hero the Iron Man when he soared above ground for almost 10 minutes.
Flyboard Air is an invention of Zapata Racing and is still in the prototype stage. In spite of this, Zapata had set a world record for the longest hoverboard flight. He flew with his flyboard to almost 2,200 meters from 50 meters.
