Fans of "Destiny 2" can rejoice as Bungie and Activision have revealed that there would be a new version of the hit game this year.

According to the Telegraph, despite the slow phase of the enhancements and improvement of "Destiny 2," the game was able to get 30 million players at some point, with some still playing actively up until now. The original version of the game would reportedly bid goodbye to users as Age of Triumph comes to an end.

However, the pause would not be too long as Activision has revealed the release date and information of a new game that it is currently developing. The trailer of the game features Nathan Fillion and Lance Reddick. On the gameplay side, Bungie decided to keep things as light as possible. Developers believe that it would be best if fans have a little information about the game.

The game is expected to hit the market on September 8, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The release date is exactly three years after the original game was introduced.

As to its story, it was believed that "Destiny 2" would focus on the returning character, Cayde.

“Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force, led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home,” a description of the game reads.

On the other hand, MMO Site has revealed that "Destiny 2" could be sold at $265.
