Ubisoft and South Park Digital Studios' upcoming roled-playing game "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" has suffered another round of delay in its release date. It is now scheduled to arrive in the company's next fiscal year.

The game publisher first delayed the release date of "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" from December 2016 to first quarter of this year. Apparently, it once again decided to push back the launch of the game further, without a confirmed or specific release date for players to hold on to.

In this regard, Sony has to cancel the pre-orders placed by players at its PlayStation Store. This is company's ordinary call for pre-ordered games that succumb a delay in release and refund players their money.

In its e-mail as shared online, Sony has expressed apologies and thanked players for purchasing "South Park: The Fractured But Whole" on PSN. But it explained in the letter that since the game doesn't have a confirmed release date as of the moment, its finds the need to cancel the pre-order and return the money paid to them by the players.

Gamers will be receiving the refund of their payments in the next seven to 10 days. The good news is that they can keep the copy of "South Park: The Stick of Truth" for free, which was offered as pre-order bonus for the game. The e-mail can be read in full via Reddit.

The first round of pre-order cancellation was rolled out by Sony when Ubisoft announced the delay of the release from December to Q1 of this year. Then, it again began to cancel the pre-purchase of the game two weeks ago, following another delay in the launch schedule that will take place between April 2017 and March 2018.

"South Park: The Fractured But Whole" pre-order listing is still up at North American PlayStation Store, with "The Stick of Truth" as freebie. But the pre-purchase of the game at its European counterpart is already taken down.
