MacBook Pro 2017 Release Date

There are reports that a new MacBook Pro will be released this year. Rumors point to the third quarter as a likely launch date, with October as a likely candidate as well. It can be remembered that the newest laptop was unveiled in October last year.

However, MacWorld reported that fans might have to wait until early 2018 for the 32GB RAM model. High-end MacBook Pro units will reportedly have 32GB of RAM, but mass production may not start until the end of the year. As such, a launch will likely happen in Q1 next year.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted that the new line this year will sport Intel Kaby Lake processors as opposed to the Skylake chips that the current Pro lineup. The MacBook Pro 2017 will be able to support up to 32GB RAM, and customers have the option to upgrade to 16GB.

According to Tech Times, the MacBook Pro 2017 will also have improved battery life thanks to the Kaby Lake processor. It is possible that it might have enough juice for over nine hours of 4K video playback.

Apart from the expected upgrades, Apple might also introduce new features. It is unknown for now how the next lineup will top the current MacBook Pro, but fans are eagerly waiting for new information.
