Tesla Model 3 cars were unveiled in the first quarter of 2016, since then Tesla CEO Elon Musk assured the populace of a mass production and delivery by 2018. That is why when a Model 3 car appeared on the streets of Los Angeles, and many believed that mass production is starting to take shape.

A Model 3 was spotted in L.A. yesterday, near SpaceX's headquarters and the company's design studio, according to Electrek. Based on a footage obtained by the website, the sighting involved the original silver prototype. It is being assumed that such sighting is part of the company's publicity stunt, to keep their name afloat.

With the latest sighting of the Model 3, it cannot be helped to check on the latest visual update of the high-tech car. However, no comments yet surfaced detailing new feature of the said Model 3. Most enthusiasts and experts believed that included in the future update of the prototype would be a bigger trunk opening an updated interior to feature a new steering wheel or even an actual instrument cluster.

CEO Elon Musk is positive that his company can deliver the targeted quantity of Model 3. As of last month, the car manufacturer revealed a ramp up on the production of their Model 3, which would mean at least 80,000 cars to be delivered in 2017.

However, doubts are cast upon the projection of Tesla. There are more than 400,000 reservation holders lining up to be part of the first batch to drive Tesla Model 3. Such demand may not likely be addressed by the company, given their projected timeframe.

Morgan Stanley's lead auto analyst, Adam Jonas, believes that Model 3 production ramp up will be much slower than expected, according to Business Insider. Thus suggesting that the targeted 2017 release period might occur in the latter quarter of the year or most likely in early 2018.
