‘Gran Turismo Sport' Closed Beta Announced: New Vehicles, Race Class and Configurations Included

The "Gran Turismo Sport" is finally getting a closed beta Polyphony Digital announced. Starting March 17, selected fans will be able to play and be part of the experience with the possibility of choosing their own cars and tracks each day. Take note that the European or North American fans will be able to join the closed beta provided they register with their Sony PlayStation IDs.

Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy reported that the "Gran Turismo Sport" closed beta will feature for the first time the Sportsmanship Rating and the Driver Profile. They will be utilized by players eligible to join the beta wherein speed ranking and race behaviour will be carefully monitored. The purpose of these features according to the report is to make sure there is balance within the game and the competition remains at its highest level.

Take note that the initial phase of the "Gran Turismo Sport" closed beta will start with the North American fans, followed by phase 2 with its European counterparts. The beta will also offer players race class categories, different types of vehicles and course configuration.

As stated on the PS Blog EU, they will follow the conventional releasing of beta wherein, the size of the "Gran Turismo Sport' beta will increase gradually as team gather data from feedbacks. "While we begin to roll out the beta, we have decided that the time differences across the U.S. are best matched to the development team in Tokyo. During the initial phase, our servers will be open for users during specific times across the day. We will share these times closer to the beta launch across our social channels and GT.com."

Previously, it was reported that the Gran Turismo Sport, Project Cars 2 and Forza Horizon 3 received new vehicles individually as part of their regular updates in the game.
