Nokia 2017 Android Flagship Smartphone Release Date, Rumors: Snapdragon 835 SoC Phone in Two Display Sizes Arriving in June?

New rumour indicates the Nokia's flagship smartphone will be releasing in June 2017. The device is expected to feature Snapdragon 835 chipset and come in two display sizes.

HMD Global unveiled three new smartphones the Nokia 6 (global edition), Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event in February. However, it disappointed Nokia fans as they were expecting to see a flagship phone Rumors have it that the flagship smartphone is likely to feature full metal body. It is said to come in two screen sizes. Currently, the display sizes are not known.

According to Chinese site MyDrivers, the Nokia flagship phone will come in two variants of RAM such as 4 GB and 6 GB. It is pegged to come equipped with Snapdragon 835 chipset. It is speculated to sport a 23-megapixel rear camera. Rumour also suggests that one variant of the flagship phone is likely to feature a dual-camera setup.

Nokia fans who are expecting to see the Carl Zeiss or PureView optics on its flagship will not to be too happy to know that none of these lenses will be available on the phone. Earlier, Microsoft had purchased the licence of Nokia's PureView Imaging Technology. Since HMD Global owns Nokia brand, it has no rights over PureView lenses.

The Finnish company also confirmed through Nokia Mobile Twitter account that it will not use the Carl Zeiss optics.The larger variant of the Nokia phone is expected to be priced at 4,500 Yuan ($652). The smaller variant is likely to cost 4,000 Yuan ($580), NDTV reported. Speculations have it that Nokia's flagship will launch as Nokia 8 or Nokia P1. A concept render of Nokia 8 was spotted on JD.com, a Chinese online retailer in the previous month. 

The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3310 are available on pre-orders in certain regions of Europe, but there is no timeline on when Nokia 3310 will be delivered. Press statements by Nokia says all three devices will be available by second quarter of this year. The Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 are listed on Dutch e-commerce portal Belsimpel site for 189 euros ($200) and 139 euros ($147) respectively whereas the Nokia 3310 is priced at 59 euros ($62). The phones will be available for booking in four color variants of blue, silver, matte black, copper, IBTimes reported.
