The upcoming "Crash Bandicoot" remake might not just be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. It would appear that the classic PS1 franchise might also be heading for the Xbox One.

In a recent tweet by PlayStation Ireland, which admins of the page took down shortly after, they told the gaming world that "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" would only be a Sony exclusive. It was then replaced by another tweet which states that the video game will be "coming to the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro first."

While the new Twitter post does not blatantly tell that the remake of the Crash Bandicoot series would head to the Xbox One, the thought does point to it happening in the future.

In another portion of the tweet, PlayStation Ireland mentioned that the game has the release date of June 30th of this year for Sony's current generation gaming platforms. The surprise reveal of the launch date took place right after Activision, which is also the developing studio for the game, put out a countdown teaser that came with a brief trailer.

The "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" comes with the first three Crash games, namely "Crash Bandicoot: Warped," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back," and, of course, "Crash Bandicoot." The remake of the trilogy was initially announced back in 2016 during Sony's E3 press conference, but there were already a lot of hints that point to the remaking of the titles even before the event.

Should the new remake do well, then there will be a chance of new games to enter the franchise, according to a member of Activision's development team who told Express UK.

"Obviously we're fans. Everybody wants to see a new Crash game," told the member of the development team. "I'm inside with everybody else. We'd love to see as much Crash as possible. It's really cool that he's already making a comeback right now."
