A New "Fallout 4" update from the game's developers reveals how the studio views the differences and advantages between the "Fallout" and "Skyrim" remastered series. Two of Bethesda's most iconic series continue to push the game studio towards success.
Fans might have a hard time choosing which series is the best since both provide equally great game lore. Bethesda director Todd Howard discussed this topic in an interview with GameSpot.
Howard first explained the stark differences between the "Fallout" and "The Elder Scrolls" series. The game director said that "Skyrim" was more of a "find your own way" kind of game, in a sense that the game's more inviting for players character preferences.
On the other hand, Howard explains that the "Fallout" series has a more refined and "specific" story, a plot that he considers as "stronger." When asked which game or series is better among the two, Howard explained that "Skyrim" presents its content better than how "Fallout" does.
However, the Bethesda director ultimately concluded that both game series have their "strengths and weaknesses" either way. Meanwhile, Bethesda has been pretty busy with its future game line-up, aside from the "Fallout 4" update.
As a matter of fact, the game studio is working on a whopping seven projects, which include Virtual Reality and Mobile games. The Bethesda director revealed that "Fallout 4" update is already playable in Virtual Reality, from beginning to end but needs some tuning on its interface and character interaction before it's released.
According to IGN, Bethesda is also working on two major game titles that are "bigger" than anything that the studio has done. Although Howard was pretty careful not to reveal too much about the major projects.
However, Howard did state that the upcoming game is going to be "kind of different." The Bethesda director also teased that it is the "kind of game" that people would associate to the studio.
